Specific grounds of appeal for this contravention

1. Disabled bays must have a sign adjoining the bay stating that the bay is for “disabled badge holders only”. Some bays operate “at any time” and others operate at specific times which must be clearly stated on the roadside signage. However the words “At any time” are not an approved phrase for the sign listed below. So unless special permission has been obtained from the department of transport then any bays with the sign below with the words “at any time” added may be unenforceable. For details of the signs and specific bay marking required please see details and diagrams below.

Below we show diagrams of the signs and bay markings which must be in situ by law and much more information that will help you decide whether to appeal against your penalty charge notice. It may be that you were confused where you parked.

Knowingly parking in a disabled bay is not something that we would condone.
