Specific grounds of appeal for this contravention

This is a yellow line between two parking spaces. The idea being that during controlled hours only Loading/unloading can take place and outside of controlled hours you can park just like any other yellow line. Some loading/unloading gaps have double yellow lines meaning that you cannot park at any time. The grounds for appeal are the same as for contravention code 01.

Signs and lines

This section is very important. We can’t emphasise enough how often the signage is incorrect or indeed there is no signage whatsoever. Road markings can conflict with the signs and quite often the road markings are not clearly visible. If the signs or lines are wrong then you will have grounds to have your parking ticket (penalty charge notice) cancelled.
The rules on signage and lineage on yellow lines are actually quite simple and we set them out below together with diagrams.

Below we show diagrams of the signs and lines which must be in situ by law and much more information that will help you decide whether to appeal against your penalty charge notice.
